Premier League Bitcoin Betting: 21st Premier League Matchweek Preview

The last Premier League round brought several interesting results that shook the table. Manchester City continued their onslaught even though they are without their main star. They scored five goals against WBA and solidified their position on the top of the table. Their city rivals, on the other hand, failed to take advantage of their match against one of the weakest sides in the league. Sheffield played a perfect game and defeated United to claim their 2nd win of the season. Everton and Leicester played a draw which only worked in favor of Liverpool. The reds returned to winning ways against an outmatched Tottenham side as Liverpool returned to the TOP 4. However, the biggest upset so far are the Hammers who are currently the best performing team out of London. They are currently sitting 5th on the table, just six points below the table leaders.

Premier League Matchweek 21

We expect Bitcoin Betting to be extremely popular for the 21st matchweek because it comes with some extraordinary fixtures. Below, we will cover the three games that can impact the table the most. First, we have the table leaders in action against the Blades. Sheffield took all three points from their city rivals so maybe they can do it against the Manchester Blues as well. Next, we have a fantastic derby between The Gooners and the Red Devils. United have been outplaying Arsenal in the last couple of years but maybe things are about to change. Lastly, we have another derby that includes West Ham in a home fixture against Liverpool. The Reds are trying to get back to the top while the Hammers are on a fantastic winning run. Premier League Predictions & Bitcoin Betting Tips

Manchester City vs Sheffield United

Manchester City

In theory, table toppers Manchester City should have no trouble against a Sheffield United team still odds-on to finish bottom. As owners of the league’s best defense facing the top-flight’s worst attack, City are expected to complete a run of five successive clean-sheet wins at home in Premier League (PL) action, averaging 1.5 second-half goals across the four that precede this clash. City have also beaten the -1 handicap ‘to-nil’ in ten of their 13 PL home wins attained behind closed doors (June 2020-present). Additionally, nine of City’s last ten PL home games vs eventual bottom-placed sides have seen them score 2+ goals beyond the hour mark, as part of a perfect 13-season record from such fixtures (2007/08-2019/20). Even without De Bruyne, City should have no problem against the Blades on Saturday.

Sheffield United

Sheffield United’s stunning 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Wednesday night breathed new life into their remote aspirations for survival. They are still massive outsiders here though, conceding an average of 0.75 goals per-game between the 61st minute and FT across their PL defeats this term. Though they have conceded 55.56% of their away league ‘goals against’ beyond the hour mark, Sheffield United have proven susceptible to conceding late in the first half on recent travels. The ‘Blades’ have shipped one goal between the 31st minute and HT in each of the three defeats within their current five-game PL away form (W1, D1, L3). After surprising United, the Blades now have the job of trying to do the same against the blue side of Manchester who are currently top of the EPL table.

Prediction

Manchester City are absolute favorites to win this fixture. However, so were United in the last round and we all know how that finished. Still, City are playing fabulous defense this season as they have conceded only 13 goals in 19 EPL games. The Blades haven’t really been prolific in attack which means City are most likely going to win the match. Nevertheless, a simple Home Side Victory bet offers little to no value. For that reason, we are backing a Home Side Victory & Over 2.5 Goals outcome @ 1.52 odds.

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Arsenal

The Gooners’ 3-1 victory over Southampton on Tuesday night moved the ‘Gunners’ to within striking distance of the top six and marked a sixth straight league game without defeat (W5, D1). Impressively, four of those victories saw Arsenal beat the -1 handicap in at least one half and/or win both halves – they memorably did the former in last season’s corresponding fixture (W 2-0). Aiming for a first league double over Manchester United since 2006/07, Arsenal swept Newcastle aside 3-0 in their last home league game, despite failing to score before HT for a third competitive home outing in succession. They are unbeaten in four Premier League (PL) outings here (W2, D2), with both wins seeing their first and third goals separated by less than 30 minutes of play.

Manchester United

Manchester United require only a clean sheet to surpass their now equal-best club run of 17 top-flight away games unbeaten (W13, D4). Despite a shock midweek loss at home to Sheffield United, the second-placed visitors should still be in a confident mood here as they’ve won all seven away league fixtures this term in which they’ve conceded first, on top of averaging 2.40 goals per PL away game (W8, D2) so far this campaign. Despite losing the reverse H2H, United’s all-time top-flight record against Arsenal is strong (W75, D45, L63 – GF 272, GA 248), with an average of 2.84 total goals per match (either way) across that entire 114-year old record. A good start is important, as a 72.22% majority (13) of their last 18 PL H2Hs won/lost vs Arsenal have seen the victor on the day lead at HT.

Prediction

Based on current affairs, United are favorites to win this fixture. However, Arsenal have been looking good in recent weeks and they also have home turf advantage on their side. The Red Devils are on a back of a loss against the Blades so they will go all out against Arsenal on Saturday. Still, backing any side to win doesn’t offer enough value for the risk that comes with that bet. With that being said, we are backing a Both Teams to Score outcome @ 1.64 odds.

West Ham United vs Liverpool

West Ham

The Hammers’ start to 2021 couldn’t have been any better as they won their opening six games of a calendar year for the first time in their 126-year history. They achieved that feat with a 3-2 victory at Crystal Palace during midweek, in a game where the first three shot attempts ended up in the net, and one that saw the opener scored before HT for a fourth straight match. That run has hauled West Ham up the table and into European contention, and also helped them stitch together an 80% unbeaten Premier League (PL) rate at home (W5, D3, L2). Three consecutive HT/FT wins here in all competitions further shows their improvement. One thing that can make West Ham’s winning run even better is if they get all three points against Liverpool. The Hammers haven’t won against the Reds since 2016 but maybe that’s going to change on Sunday.

Liverpool

Defending champions Liverpool would love to have that sort of form, but instead will be happy to have at least ended a four-game PL streak without scoring (D2, L2) with an emphatic 3-1 victory at Tottenham last time out. However, that goalless spell dropped the injury-plagued Merseysiders down into fourth place, but with all three of their PL away wins this term coming in London (W3, D5, L2), they will be happy to be back in the capital. Those three victories – and six of seven competitive away wins this season – involved a 2+ goal margin, so opponents tend to be put to the sword when the ‘Reds’ up their game. Indeed three of Liverpool’s last four visits to West Ham saw them lead at HT and win despite a -1 handicap, so this may be the opposition to get their title-push back on track.

Prediction

Games between these sides are usually high-scoring affairs. However, at the moment the Hammers are very strong defensively while Liverpool have tons of injuries in their back line. It won’t be a huge surprise if West Ham manage to get the three points on Sunday. They are in great form while Liverpool are struggling but it’s extremely risky to underestimate the holding champions. For that reason, instead of backing a team to win, we are going with an alternative option. We are backing an Over 2.75 Goals outcome @ 1.81 odds.
