The Spanish teams didn’t play league games midweek like the rest of the TOP tournaments. Instead, most of them featured in the first round of the Copa del Rey. However, four teams still played La Liga games because some of the teams had games in hand. The holding champions played Athletic Bilbao in a match that was extremely tough. Still, Real Madrid showed quality and experience as they secured a win even though they didn’t play a good game. The Catalans played a game against Basque opposition as well. Barcelona are several games behind and had to play one midweek. They faced Real Sociedad who were table leaders at the moment. However, the Catalans played a good game, especially in defense and won 2:1. Sociedad are now winless in four consecutive league games. Because of that, they conceded their spot on the top of the table.

Teams have just a couple of days to rest because La Liga action is back over the weekend. The 14th matchweek brings exciting games that will make for good Bitcoin Betting action. Below, we are going to review the three fixtures that can make the biggest impact on the table. First, we have Atletico Madrid hosting Elche in a game they are expected to win. This is a must win match if Atletico hope to challenge for the title. Next, we have a fantastic derby between Barcelona and Valencia. The Catalans are on a good run but they will have to win on Saturday to possibly return to the TOP 4. Last but not least, we have Real Madrid facing Eibar on Sunday night. Eibar are having a good season but Madrid should win this game. For more information about La Liga, check their official website.

Atletico Madrid vs Elche
Atletico
A Madrid derby defeat last weekend was more bitter than ever after Atlético Madrid’s city-rivals Real ended Atléti’s unbeaten club-record La Liga (LL) run. Still despite that 2-0 loss, Atlético’s defence remains the strongest across Europe’s top five divisions after conceding an average of just 0.36 goals per game, helping the Madrid outfit to secure a clean sheet in six of their eight LL wins this season. An unbeaten LL run stretching back over a year still exists at home though (W13, D4), and includes five wins (from a possible five games) against sides promoted to the top-flight within the last two seasons – four of which saw Atlético win despite a -1 handicap. Expect more of the same here considering Atlético have won 11 straight top-flight home H2Hs, nine despite a -1 handicap.
Elche
Elche journeyed to Atlético for the first time nearly 61 years ago to the day, falling to a 5-1 defeat on December 20th 1959 – twenty top-flight away H2Hs since and they’re still searching for a first victory at Atlético (D3, L18). To their credit they’ve been hard to break down this season, losing just three LL games so far (W3, D5, L3), but a joint-league low tally of nine goals scored (0.82 per match on average) isn’t likely to give Atlético nightmares in the run up to this match. The visitors shouldn’t be daunted though after starting every LL road trip this season as an outsider, but still managing to achieve an 80% unbeaten rate (W2, D2, L1) – one of the division’s best as an away underdog. Elche have never gotten a win against Atletico in a La Liga fixture. It’s unlikely they can do it on Saturday.
Prediction
Atletico Madrid are absolute favorites for this fixture. They have a much stronger squad and are in better form than their opponents. On top of that, they have the home turf advantage. Atletico are also coming to this game on the back of a defeat in the Madrid derby. They need to bounce back immediately or their advantage in the title race will slowly disappear. Nevertheless, there is not enough value in backing a simple Atletico win. For that reason, we are backing a 1/1 HT/FT outcome @ 1.67 odds.
Barcelona vs Valencia
Barcelona
Two narrow wins may have calmed the nerves a little at Barcelona after a poor season so far by their standards (W6, D2, L4). The midweek win over Sociedad represented their fourth home league win in succession, and additionally marked Lionel Messi’s 300th all-time victory with Barcelona at Camp Nou. The ‘Blaugranes’ have averaged exactly 3.00 goals per match across this current streak of four La Liga (LL) home wins, though they’ve won both halves just once therein. Barcelona comfortably boast the all-time advantage in LL encounters (W83, D44, L43), averaging exactly 3.87 goals per win. Barcelona also have the edge across the last ten LL H2Hs (W4, D4, L2), with three of those four wins seeing them lead by a one-goal margin at HT. This is a must win for the Catalans, if they are to close in on their opponents.
Valencia
Also suffering from mixed form (W3, D5, L5), Valencia have conceded the first open-play goal in each of their last four LL matches to produce over 0.5 total goals. The last of those saw the teams exchange penalty goals, and Valencia’s last five LL games won/drawn have thus averaged 1.40 converted spot kicks (either way) per match. The visitors are also without a win in four LL road trips (D2, L2), conceding first inside 20 minutes in all of the three matches producing over 0.5 goals, and specifically losing the first half 2-0 on two occasions. Across those three ‘Over 0.5’ matches, Valencia averaged 0.67 penalty goals against them in the opening 20 minutes of play! The last time Valencia faced Barcelona at Camp Nou they conceded 5 goals. However, the last time they met, Valencia won and their fans will hope for a similar outcome.
Prediction
Valencia have been a problem for Barcelona in recent years. However, when they face them on Camp Nou, the Catalans usually keep all three points at home. At the moment, both teams have mixed form and neither can be considered a favorite to win. Valencia have just one win in the last 5 rounds while Barcelona would like to continue their good run. Still, we don’t believe that a home side victory bet offers enough value as it is extremely risky. Instead, we are going with a Both Teams to Score outcome @ 1.79 odds.
Barcelona vs Valencia
Eibar vs Real Madrid
Eibar
A 1-1 draw at high-flying Sociedad extended Eibar’s unbeaten La Liga (LL) run to five games (W1, D4) as they hunt six unbeaten for the first time since December 2017. A 46.15% clean sheet rate in LL this term – a percentage that can be bettered by just two sides – will fill Eibar with confidence as they look for only their second-ever competitive H2H win over defending champions Real Madrid (W1, D2, L11). However Eibar have been disappointing at home, and remain the only LL team yet to secure a home win (D4, L3), after scoring just once here all season. Subsequently, they’re currently enduring their worst-ever top-flight winless home run, despite conceding an average of just 0.71 goals per LL match here. Eibar are doing great for their standards and they have been undefeated in six La Liga rounds.
Real Madrid
Madrid have found some title-race momentum after registering three straight LL wins and now look for a fourth in a row for the first time this league campaign. A 3-1 victory in their last top-flight game was their sixth LL match from the previous eight to see both teams score though, which suggests their defense has room for improvement. Just one goal scored in each of Real’s last three LL road trips (W1, D1, L1) will worry boss Zinedine Zidane, as will Madrid’s tendency to lose concentration near the end of the first half which has resulted in 50% of the LL away goals they’ve conceded (4/8) this term arriving from the 31st minute to HT. Madrid bounced back in style by winning three games in a row. They are coming to this game on the back of a win in the Madrid derby. It should be enough of a boost to win against Eibar.
Prediction
Madrid are strong favorites to win this fixture. They are in good form at the moment. Most of the important injuries have been taken care of as well. On top of that, Madrid just beat Atletico who are on top of the table. The team should be in high spirits and even though it will be a tough away fixture, Real Madrid should have enough quality to win this game. With that being said, we are backing an Away Side Victory @ 1.56 odds.
